MONTREAT SCRAMBLES TO A 5-4 VICTORY OVER GUILFORD

Greensboro, NC (10/27/98) — Junior John Comfort (Pawley's Island, SC) scored three times to help Montreat to a 5-4 non-conference win over Guilford Tuesday afternoon.  The Quakers scored three times in the second half but it wasn't enough to win their final home game of the season.

Guilford freshman Ray King (Trenton, NJ/Pennington School) scored three goals to boost his team-leading total to 13 on the season. King received assists from sophomore Sivon Irvings (Brookline, MA/Brookline) and junior Dan Neville (Absecon, NJ/Absegami).

Guilford freshman Eric Davidson (Southold, NY/Southold) netted his first collegiate goal in the 35th minute off of an assist from freshman Kwame Darko (Providence, RI/Sandy Springs Friends) that tied the game at one.
