GUILFORD MEN'S SOCCER DROPS SECOND STRAIGHT

Rocky Mount, NC (10/2/99) Host North Carolina Wesleyan rallied from a 2-0 second-half deficit with four unanswered tallies to hand Guilford’s men’s soccer team its second straight loss Saturday, 4-2. The defeat evens Guilford’s overall record at 4-4 and the Battling Bishops at 4-4-1.

Guilford got on the board first in the 10th minute of the game when senior midfielder Dax Baker (Greensboro, NC/Grimsley) scored his first goal of the season off of an assist from sophomore forward Ray King (Trenton, NJ/Pennington School). With the help of freshman back Damien Levy (East Windsor, NJ/Peddie School) first career point, Baker scored his second goal of the game 12 minutes into the second half to give the Quakers a 2-0 lead.

Josh Addison tallied two minutes after Baker's second goal and triggered the hosts 4-0 run. Joey Arment followed the equalizer two minutes later and Oscar Roa hit the game winner in the 76th minute.
