Blackwood suffered a season-ending ankle injury in a January 13 game win versus Eastern Mennonite… 1999-00: Joined the team in January from High Point University, where he did not play basketball… played sparingly in five contests… connected on a three-pointer at Roanoke (1/19) and a free-throw at Hampden-Sydney (2/2) for his four points… named to Guilford’s Spring Student-Athlete Honor Roll… High School: Three-time All Tri-County 3-A Conference player for Coach Frank Hairston’s High Point Andrews H.S. team… played on the Red Raiders’ 1995 state championship team… earned honorable mention All-Guilford County and All-Northwest North Carolina honors as a senior… Personal: Spent six seasons in the Greensboro Gaters AAU program… son of Paul and Janice Blackwood… sports management major.
