Rob Brafford joins Guilford's coaching staff for the first time after coaching the boys' and girls' basketball teams at Halifax Academy in Roanoke Rapids, NC. The girls' squad reached the 1998 North Carolina State basketball tournament and was ranked 12^th in the state, while the boys captured the Colonial Carolina-Southern Conference regular-season championships. He spent five years at Emmanuel College where he held a variety of positions, including assistant men's basketball coach for the NAIA Lions' men's team. Brafford received his associate's degree from Emmanuel and a bachelor's degree in health and physical education from the University of Georgia in 1995. He and his wife, Kim, live in High Point, with their two sons, Trey (16) and Christopher (15).
