The Cardinal is also the site of the annual Tom O'Briant Memorial Tournament hosted each fall by Guilford College and named for Guilford Hall of Famer Tom O'Briant. Past participants in the O'Briant Memorial include the PGA Tour's Lee Porter '89, Len Mattiace and Billy Andrade as well as North Carolina men's golf coach John Inman. Wake Forest golf coach Jerry Haas and 1998 Nike Tour winner John Maginnes are among the tournament's individual winners.
