The Quakers' lone representative in the 120-player field finished with a 46-over-par 330 to finish 105th.

Williams College hosted the 23-team tourney at the par-71, 6,640-yard Taconic Golf Club.

Methodist College captured the team title for the sixth straight season and its ninth crown in the last 10 years. The Monarchs shot their highest round of the tournament Thursday (308), but still won by 27 strokes over second-place UC-San Diego (1190). Greensboro College placed third (1222), followed by Wisconsin Eau-Claire (1224) and Otterbein (1224).

Methodist's Chad Collins won his second straight national tournament with an even-par 284. He tied a course record from the gold tees Tuesday with a five-under-par 66. Senior Devin Redmond of host Williams finished second with a 10-over 294. Methodist's Damon Aswad took third with a 296.

Playing as an individual, Eversole was bidding to become the second Quaker player to win a major event at Taconic in four years. Guilford alumnus O. Gordon Brewer '60 won his second United States Golf Association (USGA) Senior Amateur Championship here in 1996.
