Lee Massey

OL, Sr., 6-1, 260, St. Cloud, FL

Career: Massey was one of the Quakers' top offensive lineman in each of his four seasons. A starter since the first game of his freshman season, he started 34 of 35 career contests, including all eight as a senior. He earned honorable mention All-ODAC recognition as a junior and received Verizon Academic All-District III honors the same season. 2001: Earned second team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) honors... helped Guilford's offense finish second in the ODAC with a 192.9 rushing yards per-game average... the Quakers twice ran for over 300 yards...  four different backs gained over 100 yards in a game for Guilford this season... 2000: Earned Verizon Academic All-District III honors... honorable mention All-ODAC pick... blocked for Guilford's most productive running game since 1995... played in 10 games, started nine, mostly at right guard… 1999: Received Guilford's weekly coaches' awards for the best offensive performance against Methodist and Washington and Lee… started seven games at left guard… missed three games with a torn medial collateral (knee) ligament suffered against Ferrum… 1998: Graded out as Guilford’s best offensive lineman as a freshman… one of three Guilford freshmen in the opening day starting lineup… started all 10 games... Personal: One of 41 Dana Scholars at Guilford… won Guilford’s 2001 Thompson Memorial Scholarship for excellence in history… two-time Academic All-ODAC pick… four-time member of Guilford’s Student-Athlete Honor Roll… served as a peer mentor to first-year students… two-time All-Osceola County and All-Orange Belt Conference pick for Coach John Wallauer's St. Cloud H.S. team… helped St. Cloud to the 1995 Orange Belt Conference championship and two runner-up finishes in 1996 and 1997… earned St. Cloud’s Offensive Lineman of the Year Award in 1997… two-time state qualifier in weight lifting… brother, Ben, is a sophomore linebacker at Guilford… son of Al and Mary Ellen Massey… dean's list history major… political science concentration.
