A central figure in Guilford’s offense… size and speed creates matchup problems for opposing defenses… effective as a pass catcher or blocker…2001: blocked for Guilford's running game, which averaged 192.9 rushing yards per game, the second-highest figure in the league... Four different backs gained over 100 yards in a game for Guilford this season. .. finished his career with 41 receptions for 474 yards and three touchdowns in 38 career games, including 27 starts. 2000: Honorable mention All-ODAC selection… ranked third on the team in receptions… made five catches for a career-high 85 yards and a score at Randolph-Macon… 1999: Honorable mention All-ODAC selection… caught a career-high seven passes for 84 yards and his first collegiate touchdown at Davidson… could not catch a ball late in the year due to a broken left hand… played defensive end with the broken hand against Randolph-Macon and Catholic… 1998: Blocked regularly in Guilford's three-tight end formations… Personal: Played with Guilford’s junior varsity basketball team last season… two-time letter winner at tight end for Coach Rock Harrison’s Wake Forest-Rolesville H.S. team… also played basketball… son of John and Jeanette Lamotta… physical education major.
