
GUILFORD ADDS TWO TO ATHLETICS STAFF
Greensboro, NC (09/07/00) -- Guilford College athletic director Mike Ketchum announced the appointment of Rob Woodall as assistant athletic trainer and Adam Taylor assistant baseball coach Thursday.
Woodall earned his master's degree in kinesiology from Louisiana State University (LSU) in May 2000. While at LSU he was the head athletic trainer at University High School in Baton Rouge, LA, and served as the head athletic trainer for LSU's Department of Recreational Sports. As the recreational sports trainer, Woodall supervised and scheduled the Rehabilitation and Training Unit, organized and maintained medical records of the athletes, and managed the operational budget.
A native of Fort Lauderdale, Woodall graduated from Florida State University in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in nutrition and fitness. He was the head student trainer for the Seminoles' women's basketball, tennis and soccer teams. Woodall worked as a fitness instructor and personal trainer at various health clubs in Tallahassee, FL. He developed personal workout programs for clients and oversaw general operations of the facilities.
Woodall is a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association and will assist head athletic trainer Mary Broos. He and his wife, Melanie, live in Greensboro.
Taylor joins Coach Gene Baker's staff from crosstown rival Greensboro College where he assisted the baseball team and served as the Pride's strength and conditioning coach for the 1999-2000 academic year. He instructed players on hitting and infield play and developed an off-season workout program. Taylor has coached at Duke University's Baseball Camp and the Best In Virginia Showcase Camp.
A 1999 graduate of Randolph-Macon College, Taylor captained the Yellow Jackets' baseball team as a senior and earned second team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) honors at third base. He received first team all-state honors from the Virginia Sports Information Directors' Association and served on Randolph-Macon's Student-Athlete Advisory Council. Taylor earned a bachelor's degree in business and economics. The Richmond, VA, native graduated from Mills E. Godwin High School in 1995.
