Brad Franklin

2001: Earned second-team All-ODAC laurels… led regular hitters with .423 batting average placing third on Guilford’s all-time list… stole nine bases in nine attempts… went 3-4 with career-high five RBIs in 12-10 win over Medaille (3/14)… hit safely in 16 of last 19 games… led team with .471 batting average in ODAC play… went 6-8 with four runs and an RBI in doubleheader split versus Emory & Henry (4/21)… pitched in four games with a 27.00 ERA striking out four… 2000: Pitched three innings in two appearances for Elon, walking five and striking out one…Personal: Comes to Guilford after transferring from Elon College.  Four-year varsity letter winner from Southern Guilford as a shortstop and pitcher.  Won all-county and all-conference honors.  Won the team’s MVP award and the Gold Glove Award.  Franklin is also a member of the Academic Letter, National Honor Society, North Carolina Scholar, FFA Treasurer, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Parliamentary Procedure Team.  Franklin is the son of Joe and Sandy Franklin and is the brother of Jennifer and Peggie.
