2001: Started in 33 of 35 games in the outfield, the most appearances by a freshman...tookk over the leadoff spot in Guilford's lineup near the end of the season, where his speed sparked the Quakers' offense... finished second on the team and sixth in the ODAC with 14 stolen bases in 16 attempts...  scored 20 runs and had four doubles plus 14 RBI... went 4-4 with two runs scored in Guilford's March 24 loss to league-leading Virginia Wesleyan... his four hits marked the most in a game by any Quakers' player this season... he enjoyed a solid outing in a conference doubleheader split with Emory & Henry April 21... went 3-5 with two RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases in the opener and was 2-4 with an RBI and stolen base in the nightcap... was 4-6 with four steals in the preceding doubleheader... Personal: Helped his high school to three baseball league championships... also a standout in football earning two All-League championships... son of George and Mary Solas... sports management major.
