Guilford's Kelly Hale earned a spot on the 2008 North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association College Division Softball Team. Click here for the full release.

Hale and classmate Kelly Guarnieri both received Second Team All-Atlantic Region honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) May 6. NFCA members nominated and selected three teams of 15 students from each of the group's eight NCAA Division III regions. Click here for the full release.

Shores won the 2008 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Softball Coach of the Year Award and three Quakers' students were honored according a vote of the league's head softball coaches. Hale became Guilford's second First Team All-ODAC selection in school history, junior shortstop Amber Stapler was a second-team all-league pick and Guarnieri earned honorable mention laurels for the third straight season. Guilford ended its season with a 20-21-1 record, a 10-win improvement from last year and the most wins in school history. The Quakers qualified for the six-team ODAC Tournament for the second time in school history.
