Community Senate Overview
The Community Senate is the official decision making body of the traditional student population. Senate is divided into the following operating bodies. The Steering Committee recieves proposals and determines which body within Senate will hear the proposal and make recommendations about possible actions. The Community and Student Concerns Committee (CSC) organizes discussions and forums on issues of concern to the college. The Inter-Club Council (ICC) oversees all clubs and willl hear all proposals pertaining to clubs and club special requests. The Service Coordinating Council (SCC)oversees proposals relating to community service projects. The Student Residence Council (SRC) oversees all proposals dealing with the residence halls, serves as a conduit between students and residence life, and handles special requests pertaining to residence life. The main body of Community Senate oversees the CSC, ICC, SCC, and SRC. The full Senate hears all appeals of each individaul board decisions. Communiity Senate also handles all proposals which do not fit into any of these categories. The Senate holds weekly meetings on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm in Boren Lounge.
