Aaron Fetrow has resigned effective July 31 to become vice president of student affairs and dean of students at Roanoke College in Salem, Va. He has been a student affairs and campus life administrator at Guilford for 10 years, the last five as vice president.

President Kent Chabotar says more information will be forthcoming in a few days, including the naming of an interim dean by President-Elect Jane Fernandes.

“The departing senior officers -- Kent, Greg, and Aaron -- are pledged to work with Jane to ensure the smoothest possible transitions under the circumstances,” Kent says. “Meanwhile, I know that members of the community will want to thank Aaron for his decade of extraordinary service to Guilford College and convey congratulations and best wishes to him and his family.”

Aaron joined Guilford in October 2004 as associate dean for campus life. He served as dean for campus life for nearly three years and dean of students for nearly two years before being promoted to vice president for student affairs and dean of students in October 2009.
