PPS Summer Internships

Each Principled Problem Solving Scholar completes a 180-hour internship during the summer after their completion of the year-long Principled Problem Solving seminar sequence. They are required to develop a project for their internship that demonstrates Principled Problem Solving in action. The Scholars receive a $3000 stipend to support their internship, contingent upon their successful completion of the two semesters of coursework. 2013-14 Scholars will intern at the following diverse locations:

  • Lee Sisson: Woodbroke Quaker Study Center, Birmingham, UK
  • Samantha Metzner: Elsewhere Gallery, Greensboro, NC
  • Rena Davis: United Way, Greensboro, NC
  • Michaela Beggins: Center for Public Service Communications, Claiborne, MD
  • Gia Henry: Conflict Resolution and Resource Center, Guilford College
  • Aaron Quate: Church Hill Activities and Tutoring, Richmond, VA
  • David Wheaton: Georgia Alliance to End Homelessness, Mableton, GA
  • Calli Jo Pastor: Quaintance Weaver Restaurants and Hotels, Greensboro, NC
  • Carrie Shropshire: American Friends Service Committee, Greensboro, NC
  • Caleb Gardner: Empire Books, Greensboro, NC
  • Pasangi Perera: Operation Homeland Honor, Liberty, NC
  • Fiona Lloyd-Muller: America’s Unofficial Ambassadors--English Speaking International School, Zanzibar
  • Rebecca Reyna: Southern Middle School, Graham, NC
