Regardless of our experience at Guilford, we are always an alum of this place. Many Black alumni have worked hard to find their place among over approximately 24,000 alumni. Committed to the lifelong participation of Black alumni in leadership, service, and celebration of culture and friendship, the Black Alumni of Guilford College (BAGC) was formed in 2004 and has since made a significant impact on the current life of the College. The Boost Award is an example of this. It came out of a vision expressed by generations of Black alumni, many whom endured financial hardship and who have shared experiences, wanting to create something different for current students.
