We look forward to you joining us for Guilford College’s 171st Commencement as we honor the class of 2008.

A series of programs to celebrate this occasion will take place throughout the weekend.  Some programs are specifically for students, while others are for both students and their guests.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place outside on the lawn in front of King Hall. An outside program allows graduates to invite an unlimited number of guests to enjoy the beauty of the ceremony.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in Ragan-Brown Field House.  Due to limited seating in the Field House, students will receive complimentary tickets for their guests at rehearsal at 2pm on Friday in Dana Auditorium. The number of tickets is determined based on the number of graduates and the number of available seats in the venue. Alumni Gym will be set for a remote live feed of the ceremony to allow guests without tickets an opportunity to view the ceremony. If students do not pick their tickets up at rehearsal, these tickets will be made available from 5-7 pm on Friday in the Dana Auditorium Lobby. Again, tickets are only necessary if the program is moved indoors.
