Guilford College senior Kevin Vaughn earned First Team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) honors Tuesday according to a vote of the league's head coaches. Teammate Markas Brunson earned Second Team All-ODAC honors while Kenneth Hyman and Justin Parker garnered honorable mention All-ODAC laurels. Click here for the full release.
Guilford closed the 2008 season Nov. 15 with a 44-7 ODAC setback at Emory & Henry College. Senior Mike Six made a game-high 12 tackles (7 solo), including five behind the line of scrimmage for the Quakers. He also scored his first college touchdown on a three-yard run. Teammate Justin Parker added 127 all-purpose yards. Click here for the game story and statistics.
Six was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for his efforts.
The loss ended the college career of the Quakers' 11 seniors, who helped Guilford to a 21-19 record in their four seasons. Coach Kevin Kiesel's club went 4-6 in 2008.
