The greatest problem of going to a institution with a huge
number of opportunities, is that one cant choose all of those opportunities, one
must settle on one or if lucky two to become their life’s work.
Though I have some brief goals for my life, I doubt that these goals will
help me choose a major. I know that
I want to help people; I know that I want to do something that is outside the
office, moving, traveling, and changing. But
that wont help me decide between the majors of Peace and Conflict Studies or
Geology.
There are things that I know that I want to be part of whatever I
choose to be my career. I
want to have a different kind of job; I do not want to be doing the same
thing every day. I want
something outside of the traditional office.
I want something that I can help the individual instead of
helping the whole. I want to be cheesy and make a difference.
The problem now is that I must choose some career that will allow
me to make all these dreams realities.
There are so many options that will fruitful these goals. I know
that I probably wont be happy doing the majority of them.
I must somehow find out what careers will help me realize my
dreams and still make me happy to do the work.
