"The most valuable thing I have learned at Guilford is that I am a unique individual who has the luxury of choosing my own path."

Guilford has opened my eyes to all the areas of service and has shown me that I have something to offer to the world. Guilford's values have inspired me to go beyond the textbooks and paper writing and become an informed citizen of history, philosophy, science, sociology and religion.

Guilford's focus on service and social awareness has narrowed my career path to something that will not only fulfill my needs, but also the needs of others in this world. Dance and movement have always been a part of my life. I chose an exercise sport studies major and dance concentration to satisfy my curiosity in the human body and movement. I hope to go to physical therapy school and later work specifically for dancers. After interning at Easter Seals of Nashville, I am also interested in working with disabled people.
