"Enjoy all Guilford has to offer. With a Guilford education, there are no limits to what one can achieve."
I've always wanted to be in a profession that's got something to do with banking and finance, but my first economics class with Robert Williams convinced me that was what I really wanted to do. I plan to be either an investment banker or a commercial lender.
Before I came to Guilford, I honestly thought I had everything figured out, but when I look back at my experience here, I realize that a lot has changed. I've been motivated by my professors, and I now feel there's nothing I can't do if I go for it. I don't just see myself as an individual who can only be a banker, but as someone that is learning so much that any other field is an option.
Since coming to Guilford, I've really come a long way in learning how to respect others for what they are and believe in; it's not as though I was a dreadful closed-minded kid before I came here, but I felt very uncomfortable with people different than me. However, after spending some time at Guilford and having had some interactions I can now say I'm a far cry from what I was before I came here.
