Thanksgiving Closing Notice to Residential Students

Thursday, November 26th through Sunday, November 29th are official college holidays when offices and dining services are closed and there are no classes.   The residence halls will close at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, November 25th and reopen on Sunday, November 29th at 9:00 am.

The dining hall will close at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 25th and reopen on Sunday, November 29th at 10:30 am.  No food service is available during the break.

As always, we need your assistance in maintaining a safe and secure environment by not propping open outside doors, closing and locking your room windows, reporting any strangers on your floor to the duty RA or Public Safety, and keeping your room door locked. Although the college provides Public Safety coverage during break

periods, it cannot assume any liability for loss or damage due to theft.  If you will be traveling home, it is also suggested that you remove any valuables from your room.

If you are remaining on campus during the Thanksgiving break, you are not required to notify Residence Life, however, each student is responsible for their behavior while on campus and college regulations apply at all times.  Any student found in violation of campus policies may be asked to leave campus for the remainder of the Thanksgiving break and is subject to judicial charges.

If you are leaving for the break, please do the following:  turn off all lights, close and lock windows, close blinds, turn off all electronic equipment and don’t forget to turn off your alarm clock.  Most importantly—LOCK YOUR DOOR!

Have a safe and filling Thanksgiving holiday! If you have questions about this information, please contact your RA/Hall Director or the Office for Campus Life at 316-2105.
