Meal Plan Options


All residential students in the traditional halls are required to participate in one of the three meal plans offered by the college. Apartment residents, theme house residents and those who are exempted based on medical reasons are not required to select a meal plan. Apartment or house residents may choose from any of the 4 meal plan options. Meal plan exemptions are rarely granted; the process and forms are available
at www.guilford.edu/housing. Meal exemptions are reviewed at the beginning of each semester. Students are expected to pay all room and board charges when due. If a meal exemption is approved, students will be reimbursed. To complete the online application process, please choose from
one of the following plans:

  • Quaker MAX: 19 meals per wk./ no “Grill Cash”
  • Quaker 14: 14 meals per wk./$175 “Grill Cash” per semester
  • Quaker Ten: 10 meals per wk./$175 “Grill Cash” per semester
  • Optional for Apartment and Theme House residents only: Quaker Alternative Plan: 5 meals per week

Grill Cash may only be used at the Grill 155 located in the basement of Founders Hall.

Meal Plan Changes - Students may only make changes to their meal plan until the end of the first week of classes each semester.
