Intramural-Recreational Sports Position Description
Position Title: Scorekeeper/Equipment Monitor
Supervised by: Coordinator, Intramural-Recreational Sports
Area: Intramural-Recreational Sports
Position Summary: The scorekeeper/equipement monitor is responsible for the management and official tracking of game activities as well as checking out and collecting equipment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Verifying/recording all participants' full name and social security number
- Maintaining appropriate scoring records during game
- Recording all fouls, penalty cards, technicals, unsportsmanlike conduct penalties as required
- Promoting and recording team sportsmanship ratings
- Checking out and collecting equipment
- Collecting all equipment returned and recording missing and/or damaged equipment at the end of competition
- Assisting participants in locating proper game and field locations
- Attending meetings and required in-service training sessions
- Performing other duties assigned by the Intramural Sports Supervisor or other appropriate full-time team member
Qualifications:
- Available and committed to work a minimum of one day a week, Monday--Thursday between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
