Intramural-Recreational Sports Position Description

Position Title:              Official
Supervised by:            Coordinator, Intramural-Recreational Sports
Area:                          Intramural-Recreational Sports

Position Summary:      Intramural Sports Officials are responsible for officiating intramural games, and setting up and/or breaking down fields.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Attending all sport specific training clinics and weekly officials meetings
  • Promoting quality sportsmanship
  • Providing team sportsmanship rating for each team at the conclusion of games
  • Setting up and/or breaking down fields
  • Enforcing all Intramural Sport Rules and Guidelines
  • Managing equipment and scorekeeping as the need arises
  • Performing other duties assigned by the Intramural Sports Supervisor, or other appropriate full-time team member

Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of the sport (preferred)
  • Ability to work in a changing work climate/atmosphere.
