N&R Covers President’s Forum
The Greensboro News & Record reported on Guilford’s fourth annual Board of Visitors President’s Forum, an event focused on the role of innovation in the regional economy.
Some of the area’s highest profile business leaders “touted regionalism and collaboration as keys to growth for economic development in the Triad,” according to an Oct. 25 article in the newspaper.
The panelists for the Oct. 24 event at the Proximity Hotel were Eric Wiseman, president and CEO of VF Corp.; Julie Allickson, director of translational research for the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine; Stanhope Kelly, treasurer and secretary of the Piedmont Triad Partnership; and Kevin Baker, executive director of Piedmont Triad International Airport.
The midday program opened with remarks from President Kent Chabotar and was moderated by Doug Copeland, president and publisher of The Business Journal of the Greater Triad Area.
The Board of Visitors uses money raised by the forum to support the annual Guilford Undergraduate Symposium.
