Study Abroad Photos Worth 1,000 Words
“My semester in China is by far the most phenomenal and life-changing experience of my college career,” says Jordan Adams ’14. “I honestly have trouble finding the words to describe it.” Her photograph of a host family’s grandmother with her great-grandson, a finalist in the College’s Study Abroad Photo Contest, offers a glimpse.
Jordan, who is studying abroad this semester in Munich, studied abroad in southwest China during spring 2013 as part of a program led by Jerry Joplin, a professor of justice and policy studies. Each student spent a week living with a Chinese family.
Over 130 Guilford students studied abroad during the past year in more than 20 different countries. The photo contest provides an opportunity for these students to share images from their travels.
