Roy Nydorf Sculpture in ‘Figures’ Exhibit
Professor of Art Roy Nydorf is one of five artists from North Carolina with works in “American Art Today: Figures,” a national competition at the Bascom Center for The Visual Arts in Highlands, N.C.
Jonathan Stuhlman, curator of contemporary art at Charlotte’s Mint Museum of Art, chose 64 out of 550 entries for the exhibit, including Roy’s “Root Man.”
Roy also won an honorable mention in “The Bicycle: Art Meets Form” at the Theatre Art Galleries in High Point, curated by Edie Carpenter of Greensboro’s Green Hill Center For NC Art. Ten of his small drawings are in the exhibit “Sketch” at the Green Hill Center.
