Homegrown Film Festival to Screen Student, Faculty and Alumni Works
The Guilford Film Society will present the seventh annual Homegrown Film Festival at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 4, in Joseph M. Bryan Jr. Auditorium.
The festival will showcase more than 15 short films by students, faculty and alumni. Refreshments and snacks will include buttery popcorn.
This year’s jurors are Aaron Bland ’12, who won a prize last year, and Campus Life staff member Steve Moran. Among the honors awarded during the festival are the Audience Award, the Jurors Prize and the Guilford Award.
At last year’s festival, Torch to the Trees by Aaron won the Audience Award, Hunting Crows by Charlie Counselman won the Jurors Prize, and The Guilfordian by Douglas Reyes-Ceron won the Guilford Award.
