Roy Nydorf Exhibit Lauded

"Uve Bianca" was one of almost 200 works by Roy Nydorf in the Four Decades exhibition.

Professor of Art Roy Nydorf’s Four Decades exhibit at the Green Hill Center For NC Art was listed by visual art critic Tom Patterson of the Winston-Salem Journal as one of the four most noteworthy regional exhibitions of 2012.

In his article “Outstanding Exhibitions in Local Galleries Hard to Find,” Patterson wrote that the show was “terrific,” and that Roy is “one of the region’s most accomplished artists.”

“Nydorf has been a professor in Guilford College’s art department since 1978, and this selection of nearly 200 paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures revealed him as an artist passionately engaged with his world and with the act of making images,” the article states.

Roy is currently exhibiting two drawings at the African-American Atelier 22nd Annual Founding Members Invitational Show, 200 North Davie St. in the Cultural Arts Center, Greensboro, through Feb. 20.
