Food Pantry Covered by N&R
The Guilford College Food Pantry was included in a Greensboro News & Record story about pantries at local colleges to provide help to students.
Chelsey Wilson ’13, one of the organizers of the pantry at Guilford, told the newspaper that volunteers try to provide the College’s adult students in need with a week’s worth of food. The pantry opened in September.
“These are our fellow classmates that we’re sitting beside,” Chelsey, a hunger fellow in the College’s Bonner Center for Community Service and Learning, told the newspaper. “Why not help them out?”
