Distinguished Quaker Visitors on Campus Nov. 6-8

The 2012 JM Ward Distinguished Quaker Visitors to Guilford, Ben Pink Dandelion and Haven Kimmel, will be on campus for several events this week.

Ben is a British Quaker sociologist and historian. Haven is the New York Times bestselling author of A Girl Named Zippy, The Solace of Leaving Early and other books.

Their schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, Nov. 6
4 p.m. Tea & Talk in the Hut.
5 p.m.  Supper in the Gilmer Room.
7:30 p.m.  Ben Pink Dandelion, “Travel through the Quaker Landscape: A British Sociologist’s Perspective.” New Garden Friends Meeting.

Wednesday, Nov. 7
11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.  Quaker Manifesto video conference. Library Hub.
7:30 pm  Haven Kimmel, “Reflections of an Outlaw Quaker.” New Garden Friends Meeting.

Thursday, Nov. 8
4 p.m.  Tea & Talk in the Hut.
7:30 p.m.  Roundtable discussion with Ben and Haven. East Gallery of Founders.
