N&R Covers Tina Brown Speech
The News & Record of Greensboro covered Tina Brown’s Oct. 23 speech at War Memorial Auditorium, the first event of the 2012-13 Bryan Series.
Tina, the editor-in-chief of Newsweek and The Daily Beast website, predicted that print media would switch to digital publication in the next five years or so. Newsweek recently announced that it will become a digital-only publication after this year.

College trustee Joseph M. Bryan Jr. established the Bryan Distinguished Visiting Professorship in the Arts Humanities and Public Affairs with a gift to the College in 1994. Speaker events began in 1996, and the lectures became the Bryan Series in 2002.
The subscription-based series is sold out for the fourth time in five years. The next speaker is Tom Brokaw on Nov. 29.
