Noah Ratner Named to All-Nicklaus Team
Noah Ratner ’13 has been named to the 2012 All-Nicklaus Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America. He joins former teammate Peter Latimer ’10 as Guilford selections to the 24-member all-star team.
Jack Nicklaus, a Big Ten and NCAA champion at The Ohio State University, helped inspire and create his namesake awards in 1988. The Nicklaus Award is annually given to the top collegiate men’s golfer in Divisions I, II, III, the NAIA and the NJCAA. Noah received this year’s award as the top player in NCAA Division III.
The junior also received PING First Team All-America recognition for the second straight season, joining a list of nine other Guilford golfers lauded as first-team All-Americans. He spent most of the season atop the Golfstat.com NCAA Division III Head-to-Head Player Standings and recorded a 72.73 season stroke average, second-best in school history.
