EMF Presents Marvin Hamlisch at Guilford June 12
The Eastern Music Festival will present award-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch and vocalist Mark McVey Tuesday, June 12, at 7 p.m. in Dana Auditorium. Tickets are available.
Hamlisch is best known for composing scores for “A Chorus Line, “The Sting” and “The Way We Were.” He has earned three Oscars, four Grammys, a Tony and three Golden Globe awards.
EMF is presenting this special event in celebration of its 51st season, June 23–July 28. The five Saturday night signature performances will feature pianists Vladimir Feltsman and Alexander Toradze, violinists Elmar Oliveira and Tasmin Little and vocalists Nancy Maultsby and Anthony Dean Griffey.
Founded in 1961, EMF brings world-renowned artists together with exceptionally gifted young musicians from across the U.S. and several continents to study and participate in more than 100 concerts and music-related events each summer.
Concerts are held at Guilford and at venues in downtown Greensboro.
