Tour Highlights Sustainability

A free tour highlighting Guilford’s sustainability efforts is now available for the campus community, area residents, and prospective students and their families.

Sponsored by the Admission and Sustainability offices, the hour-long green tour will be offered at 2 p.m. March 23, April 27 and May 25. Reserve a space by calling 336-316-2100.

Limited to seven people, each tour starts at New Garden Hall and transports participants by golf cart, allowing easy access to the campus farm, about a half mile away. The farm grows organic produce that is sold and used at the College’s cafeteria.

The tour also showcases the LEED Silver certification of Archdale Hall; solar thermal panel installations on campus buildings; energy generation, savings and efficiency; composting; and student co-ops.
