President Chabotar Named to List of Most Influential People in the Triad

President Kent Chabotar has been named one of the Triad’s Most Influential People by the Business Journal of the Greater Triad in the publication’s seventh annual list.  He was honored for the fourth straight year.

Chabotar joined 112 other business and community leaders who were chosen by the Business Journal‘s publisher, editors and reporters as individuals making a difference in the region. The honorees were featured in a special insert in the Dec. 2 issue of the publication.

“The Triad is led by an extraordinary group of seasoned and dedicated leaders,” said Doug Copeland, publisher. “Their experience, wisdom and perspectives are key in positioning this region’s businesses, institutions and nonprofits for the future. Kent Chabotar is one of those people.”

Chabotar has been president and professor of political science at Guilford since 2002.  He was cited by the Business Journal for unveiling a new strategic long-range plan for the Guilford and leading Guilford through the $60 million Advancing Excellence campaign.

Trustee Carole Bruce, a partner with Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP, was among the other leaders named to the Most Influential list.
