Men’s Golfers Lead Two Polls

Guilford’s men’s golf team moved into first place in the second NCAA Division III Golf World/Nike Golf and Golf Coaches Association of America Coaches’ Poll of the season, released Thursday, Nov. 3.

The Quakers earned 15 of the 19 first-place votes to move from fourth to the top spot. Illinois Wesleyan University ranks second, followed by Methodist University in third. The University of Texas at Tyler and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges round out the top five.

Guilford is also ranked first in the Nov. 2 Golfstat.com NCAA Division III Relative Rankings, ahead of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and the University of Redlands in those ratings.

Guilford currently has three players ranked among the top 50 Division III players according to Golfstat.com’s player standings, including top-ranked Noah Ratner, who was named ODAC Player of the Week three times this season after winning three of four events this fall.
