All members of the Guilford community are invited to take part in annual events including the Harvey Ljung Golf Tournament at the Bryan Park Player’s Course, the Bill Rogers Tennis Tournament and a 5K run through campus.
The Friends Historical Collection will also collect oral history interviews with former residents of Mary Hobbs Hall, Guilford’s oldest residence hall, and with people who have memories of the College’s integration in 1962.
Other highlights of the weekend will include the 14th Annual Sheridan A. Simon Distinguished Alumni Lecture, the Golden Circle Brunch, a Stop Hunger Now! Packing party, the Annual Street Festival and Solarpalooza, and Tailgate 2011 outside of Armfield Athletic Center. Quaker athletics teams have home games in football, men’s and women’s soccer, and women’s volleyball.
