Award-winning Trio The Good Lovelies to Perform Oct. 8
The Good Lovelies, an award-winning roots and traditional trio, will be in concert Saturday, Oct. 8, at 7:30 p.m. at Dana Auditorium as part of the College’s Homecoming 2011.
Tickets for all seats are $10 in advance at GuilfordConnections.com and $15 at the door. Guilford students, faculty and staff can pick up tickets at the Founders Hall info desk with presentation of a valid College ID.
The group includes Caroline Brooks, Kerri Ough and Sue Passmore, vocalists and instrumentalists who were solo artists in the Toronto area before they came together in 2006 for a Christmas concert.
Since then, they have produced four albums including the Juno Award-winning ”Good Lovelies” in 2009 and “Let the Rain Fall” in 2011.
This year’s homecoming concert continues a tradition of shows that have featured the Indigo Girls, the Wailin’ Jennys, the Squirrel Nut Zippers and Over the Rhine as well as alumni performers.
