Maia Hallward to Speak About Middle East Peace Sept. 21
On Wednesday, Sept. 21, professor Maia Hallward of Kennesaw State University will give a talk, “Struggling for Peace in the Middle East” at 7:30 p.m. in the Founders Hall Gallery.
Hallward is a professor of international affairs and peace studies and the author of Struggling for a Just Peace: Israeli and Palestinian Activism in the Second Intifada. She lived and worked in Israel, the Palestinian Territories and Jordan for four years. Her research and teaching draw on that experience in the Middle East, with a particular emphasis on Israeli and Palestinian peace and justice movements, the role of identity in conflict, and the intersection between religion and politics.
