Cross Country Release - General's Cross Country Invitational - Guilford College

  • GENERALS CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL AT LEXINGTON, VA

 

      Lexington, VA (9/10/05) -- Guilford's men's and women's cross country team competed in the Generals Invitational hosted by Washington and Lee Saturday in Lexington, VA.  Guilford's men's team placed seventh among seven schools at the meet with 156 points.  Freshman Chris Walker had the Quakers' best finish (30th) with a time of 32:49.00 over the eight-kilometer course.  The Quakers women's team placed eighth among nine schools at the meet with 224 points. Junior Laurie Henninger paced the Quakers with a tie of 25:00.00 over the five-kilometer course.  She placed 40th in the individual field.
