Women's Track & Cross Country - Guilford College
Guilford will start a modified track and field team that will compete in both indoor and outdoor seasons beginning in 2009-10. Former UNC Greensboro track and cross country standout Heidi Pinkterton will serve as the Quakers' head track and cross country coach.

Guilford placed sixth among nine teams at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships Nov. 1 in Virginia Beach, Va. Sophomore Grace Normann led the Quakers with a 24th-place effort. She completed the six-kilometer course in a school-record 24:50.75. Senior Jenn Abelin had the Quakers' second-fastest time in school history, 26:15.25, which was 32nd-fastest at the meet.
