2007-08: Led her team in points in her sophomore season with 94.25 points... set a new 200-yard freestyle time of 2:11.16, and also set records in the 100-yard freestyle (59.10), the 500-yard freestyle (6:00.49), and the 100-yard back (1:11.58)... she won her second Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Swimmer of the Week Award for her performance against ODAC-rival Bridgewater November 17 when she won the 200 freestyle (2:12:48), the 200 backstroke (2:36:95) and the 200 medley (2:29:77)... she added seven new records to the Guilford College record books this year... 2006-07: Set five school records in her freshman year… had record-setting times in the 200-yard freestyle (2:11.37), 500 freestyle (5:52.30), 100 breaststroke (1:17.46), 200 breaststroke (2:45.33) and the 200 individual medley (2:25.45)… member of the record-setting 400 medley relay team… won the February 12 ODAC Swimmer of the Week Award… finished 13th and 14th in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:18.28) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:50.83) at the ODAC/Atlantic States Championships… had the Quakers' best time in seven events… Personal: Received Guilford’s J.R. and Margaret Boyd Scholarship… member of the Guilford Outdoors Club… Academic All-ODAC (2006-07)… two-time member of Guilford’s student-athlete honor roll… daughter of Kenneth and Janice Merritt… Mathematics and music double major.
