2008-09: Team captain... finished first on the team with 174.50 individual points... won nine dual-meet races... held Guilford's top time in eight different events, including the 1000-yard freestyle (12:15.10) and the 200-yard breaststroke, both which rank second in the Quakers' record books... did well at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference/Atlantic States Championships Feb. 13-15, swimming her best 100-yard breaststroke time (1:17.91) to finish ninth, which was Guilford's best individual result... received the ODAC Swimmer of the Week twice this season for the weeks of Nov. 17 and Dec. 8... enters her senior year as Guilford's school record holder in six events... 2007-08: Led the team in points (94.25) scored over the team's eight meets... set school records in the 200 freestyle record (2:11.16), 100 freestyle (59.10), and the 100 breaststroke (1:11.58)... swam on school-record-setting medley relay teams... won her second career ODAC Swimmer of the Week Award for her performance against league-rival Bridgewater when she won the 200 freestyle, the 200 backstroke and the 200 medley... 2006-07: Set five school records… had record-setting times in the 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle (5:52.30), 100 breaststroke (1:17.46), 200 breaststroke (2:45.33) and the 200 individual medley (2:25.45)... member of the record-setting 400 medley relay team… won the Feb. 12 ODAC Swimmer of the Week Award… finished 13th and 14th in the 100 breaststroke (1:18.28) and the 200 breaststroke (2:50.83) at the ODAC/Atlantic States Championships… had the Quakers’ best time in seven events… Personal: Received Guilford’s J.R. and Margaret Boyd Scholarship… member of Guilford's Outdoors Club… three-time Academic All-ODAC… six-time member of Guilford’s student-athlete honor roll... daughter of Kenneth and Janice Merritt… six-time dean's list mathematics and music double major.
