Guilford concluded the 2008-09 season Feb. 15 with a sixth-place finish at the 2009 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships in Radford, Va. The Quakers placed ninth at the Atlantic States Championships, which ran concurrent to the ODAC meet. Guilford's 200-yard freestyle relay posted the Quakers' best finish (7th) with a season-low time of 1:56.26. Justine Merritt's ninth-place effort in the 100 breaststroke in a season-best 1:17.91 was the team's best individual result. Guilford posted seven season-low times at the meet. Guilford completed the dual-meet portion of its schedule with a 4-4 overall record, 3-3 in the ODAC. Head coach Steve Kaczmarek has no seniors on this year's team and could return as many as 11 letter winners next year.
