Women's Soccer Team Falls at Emory, 3-0
ATLANTA, Ga. (9/26/09) -- Host Emory University claimed a 3-0 women's soccer
victory over visiting Guilford College Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles (4-1-3) are ranked seventh in this week's NSCAA/adidas
South Atlantic Region Poll. Guilford drops to 2-7 with the loss.
Meghan McMahon scored in the 19th minute to open the game's scoring.
Talia Dweck set up Katy Kruse in the 37th minute with the first of her
two assists in the match, which helped Emory take a 2-0 halftime lead.
Emily Rubin closed out the scoring in the 61st minute.
Guilford sophomore Kat Adams made a career-high 14 saves in goal for
the Quakers.
Guilford returns to action Wednesday (9/30) against visiting North
Carolina Wesleyan College at 6:00 p.m. in the Armfield Athletic
Center.
