Quakers Notch First ODAC Victory of the Year Against Eastern Mennonite, 2-0
GREENSBORO, N.C. (9/19/09) -- Gabrielle Lahowitch and Ashley Anderson both scored their first college goals to lift host Guilford College past Eastern Mennonite University, 2-1, Saturday. Bri Eilman assisted on both second-half tallies in the Quakers' (2-5, 1-1 ODAC) first Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victory of the season.

Eilman fed Lahowitch in the opening minute of the second half before
Anderson scored off the bench for a 2-0 Guilford edge with just under 18
minutes to play. The Royals (2-4, 0-1 ODAC) Jenna Arneson answered less
than two minutes later to make it a one-goal game again, but the Quakers
kept Eastern Mennonite off the board for the rest of the way.
Abby Diffenbach made eight saves in goal for the Royals, who were outshot,
15-5. Kat Adams made one save for Guilford.
The Quakers return to action Thursday (9/24) at ODAC-rival Lynchburg
College.
