Guilford's Daniel Lands All-Region Honor

Jada DanielGreensboro, N.C. (1/21/09) -- Guilford College's Jada Daniel earned a spot on the 2008 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas NCAA Division III All-South Region Team as a third-team pick.

Daniel, a 5-8 junior forward, finished second in scoring for the Quakers for the second straight season last fall with 14 points on four goals and six assists. She also earned Second Team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) honors for the second year in a row and was honorable mention All-ODAC honors as a rookie. Daniel is tied for 10th in Guilford women's soccer history with 12 career assists. She has 16 goals and 44 points in 51 career matches.

Coach Eric Lewis' Quakers ended the season with an 8-12 record, 6-5 in the ODAC. Lewis expects 19 letter winners to return in 2009, including Daniel.
