Women's Basketball - Guilford College

2009 Grads Seniors Shevon Hackett, Jessica Casto, Brittany Bumgarner and Tracey Croner are pictured from left to right around head coach Stephanie Flamini. All four participated in Guilford's commencement exercises May 9. Hackett earned degrees in criminal justice and forensic biology. Casto earned degrees in business management and sport management. Bumgarner graduated with honors and departmental honors in sport management. Croner earned a degree in business management.

Croner received Guilford's Best Female Athlete Award Apr. 26 at a year-end awards ceremony in the Ragan-Brown Field House. Six award winners nominated and selected by the school's athletic department were recognized at the ceremony. Former Guilford basketball standout Adonis "Sporty" Jeralds '81 addressed the group. Casto and Croner both scored six points in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's 79-76 win over the USA South Athletic Conference in a senior all-star game Mar. 22 in Hampden-Sydney, Va. Flamini served as an assistant coach on the ODAC squad. Click here for the game statistics and narration.

The Quakers wrapped up the 2008-09 season with an 11-14 overall record, 10-10 in the ODAC. Flamini graduates four seniors from the team, but could return as many as 11 letter winners in 2009-10.
