Volleyball Falls to ODAC-Rival Virginia Wesleyan, 3-0
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (10/3/09) -- Virginia Wesleyan College downed visiting
Guilford College, 25-13, 25-12, 34-32, in an Old Dominion Athletic
Conference match Saturday.
Brittany Freeman had six kills, nine digs and three service aces for
the Quakers (6-10, 1-4 ODAC). Teammate Mary Moody
added seven kills and six digs. Taylor Phillips had a team-high 11
assists and Bethany Hawks paced Guilford with 10
digs. Emma Gunn contributed five blocks.
The Marlins improve to 14-3 overall, 2-2 in the ODAC.
Guilford returns to action Wednesday (10/6) when it hosts Greensboro
College at 7:00 p.m.
